DESCRIPTION:As an 18 year old\, Chris Hotchkiss began delivering mattresses while attending Saint Mary's University in Halifax. Before too long he was promoted to selling furniture and his passion for the home furnishing industry was born. In 2010\, with the help of his family and friends\, Chris opened the very first Hotchkiss Home Furnishings store on Prospect Street in Fredericton. Great brands like Ashley Furniture\, Sealy Mattresses\, Palliser\, Whirlpool\, Maytag and Frigidaire filled his showroom. Since then Chris' life and business have grown considerably. He and his wife Elise added two beautiful children\, Max and Evie and the business has added two new stores\, Grand Falls\, NB and Dartmouth\, NS. Chris was also selected to participate in the prestigious "Wallace McCain Institute" an organization helping grow Atlantic Canada's most promising entrepreneurs. Throughout the growth and changes\, Chris has stayed very consistent with what he wants the Hotchkiss brand to represent. "We are a friendly\, family business\," he says. "It's wonderful to see people get excited when making important furnishing decisions for their home.
