The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce, in support of policy development and advocacy, is organizing a meeting on April 12, 2016 at the Holiday Inn in Truro. The objective of the meeting is to bring together our member chambers and boards of trade in Nova Scotia to review advocacy activities, hear from experts on issues of common interest to all, and reconnect with other chamber staff and volunteers.
The meeting will run from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm to facilitate same day travel from all parts of the province. In the morning we will review recent advocacy efforts and successes, and review the action priorities identified in your responses to our annual survey. Our lunch keynote speaker will be the Honourable Lena Metledge Diab, Minister of Immigration to discuss issues related to the recent influx of Syrian refugees and longer term strategies to increase levels of immigration to Nova Scotia
Your provincial advisory committee has suggested the following afternoon program, which will include several short presentations on issues that impact business across the province:
