FEMpower - Women Leading Change

It’s the dead of winter – time to recharge! The Strait Area Chamber has hosted several “Small Halls” women’s leadership and empowerment sessions over the last number of years – now, we’re bringing women together under one roof to energize and connect! This half-day experience at the Inverary Inn, in beautiful Baddeck, will include an opportunity for attendees to share their experiences – successes, challenges, opportunities, and a-ha moments! Expect the unexpected at this event – it wont be a typical morning of sitting and listening. Topics will include non-traditional work experiences, self-care and mental health, and determining and defining our own successes. Inspiration and fun will be the underlying themes of the whole morning! LINE UP: Friday, Feb 21, 2020 8 am – Breakfast Buffet 9 am – Energizer activity. Facilitator TBA 9:15 am – Setting Sail – A conversation with Cindy Brown 9:45 am – “Bear Pit” – Participants sharing in groups their successes, challenges, and a-ha moments in business, community, government, etc 10:30 am – Break 10:50 am – The Balancing Act – a panel focused on prioritizing self-care and the impacts of nutrition, mindset, and fitness on mental health and success.
