Shop Local Funding Initiative
Funded by the Government of Canada and delivered through provincial and territorial chambers of commerce, the Shop Local initiative provides grants for programs and campaigns that encourage Canadians to shop local.
The Government of Canada is investing $33 million across Canada in this program to support businesses as they reopen so they can stay open and thrive in recovery. As administrators of the program regionally, the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce (ACC) will distribute nearly $2.7 million in grants to local chambers and non-profit associations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador to fund campaigns that drive shop local awareness and increase local spending.
The program is open to chambers of commerce and boards of trade who are members of the ACC, along with non-profit organizations that support hard-hit sectors like tourism and hospitality.
Deadline is July 25, 2021.
