Business Support Series: What Does Building Back Better Really Mean For My Business?
What Does Building Back Better Really Mean For My Business? We are all hearing a lot about the idea of building back better from the impacts of the pandemic. Companies have questions about what a clean and inclusive economy looks like and what it means to the strength and recovery of my business. In this session we will talk about the changing expectations of businesses post pandemic and in light of new realities impacting the economy, environment and commercial operations of all size and scale in Atlantic Canada. Participants will leave our session with: a better understanding of the opportunities for their business in the clean economy, an understanding of inclusive growth and the potential and implications for business; and a starting place for how to control supply chain risks and build resiliency into their business operations, no matter the size.

Business Truth & Reconciliation
The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce takes proactive steps to promote reconciliation and respect for Indigenous rights within the corporate sector. In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, the Chamber urges its members to embrace the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a guiding framework.
Recognizing the importance of education, the Chamber encourages businesses to provide comprehensive training for management and staff on the history of Indigenous peoples, including the legacy of residential schools, Indigenous rights, and Aboriginal-Crown relations. Emphasizing intercultural competency, conflict resolution, and anti-racism, these efforts aim to foster a more inclusive and harmonious corporate environment rooted in mutual understanding and respect.
