Expo Labrador Conference & Trade Show
A project of the Labrador North Chamber of Commerce, Expo Labrador is the region’s premiere economic development conference and trade show which takes place in Happy Valley-Goose Bay annually. Formally known as the Voisey’s Bay & Beyond Conference, Expo Labrador was primarily a resource development-based event that highlighted major projects like Voisey’s Bay and the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric development. Rebranded in 2020, Expo Labrador provides pan-Labrador, high-quality content and updates that feature major regional projects, with a deeper focus on content for small businesses and Chamber members. At its core, Expo Labrador remains an initiative that promotes economic opportunities in Labrador through the exchange of information and strengthening of partnerships while delivering participants with opportunities to explore the region and experience true Labrador talent and culture. The Organizing Committee is pleased to announce the Expo Labrador 2022 Conference & Trade Show will take place from June 28-30, 2022 in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL! The Committee is now accepting speaker Expressions of Interest for the conference program. More information will be made available in the coming weeks at www.expolabrador.com.

Business Truth & Reconciliation
The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce takes proactive steps to promote reconciliation and respect for Indigenous rights within the corporate sector. In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, the Chamber urges its members to embrace the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a guiding framework.
Recognizing the importance of education, the Chamber encourages businesses to provide comprehensive training for management and staff on the history of Indigenous peoples, including the legacy of residential schools, Indigenous rights, and Aboriginal-Crown relations. Emphasizing intercultural competency, conflict resolution, and anti-racism, these efforts aim to foster a more inclusive and harmonious corporate environment rooted in mutual understanding and respect.
