    On October 22nd, join us as we gather to celebrate Canadian entrepreneurship with Pitch Canada! About this Event Are you a startup with operations in Canada wanting to gain visibility, feedback, and connections? APPLY TO PITCH BEFORE OCT. 15 @10 PM PDT (more info below): https://forms At Volition, we support entrepreneurs from across Canada and beyond by providing space for conversations, connections, and practical skill-building--and that's what our pitch events are all about! We've hosted almost 100 pitch events with 5000+ attendees, and we're excited to host this next event, Pitch Canada! VIRTUAL EVENT LINK: Zoom webinar, sent via Eventbrite following registration. PLEASE NOTE: Doors close after 30mins (a recording will be made available for all registered attendees) .. .. WHAT TO EXPECT Up to eight entrepreneurs from across Canada will take the virtual 'stage' to present their 3-minute startup pitch and receive strategic feedback from leaders in the Canadian startup ecosystem. Attendees! You will have the opportunity to vote on a 'top pitch', as well as engage with pitchers and panel via polls, Q&A and Live Chat. If you can support a pitcher or want to connect, we'll provide space for that as well. For our part, we commit to creating a comfortable and engaging space for the startup community to gather. .. .. THIS EVENT IS FOR... Up to 100 community members who keen to connect and learn with others in the startup ecosystem. This includes: - Entrepreneurs (and aspiring ones) - Investors - Educators - Students - Ecosystem supporters and service providers - ...and those who are just plain curious The pitchers: Startups, early to growth stage, wanting to gain pitch feedback, visibility, and tactical tips from industry leaders in entrepreneurship. NOTE: you do not have to be raising capital to pitch. THIS EVENT IS NOT FOR...companies applying to pitch with a sole intent of 'selling' their product or service to our community. .. .. Pitch application [APPLY BY 10 PM PDT OCTOBER 15] If you are applying to pitch, you do not need to register for a ticket as well. NOTES: - In order for your application to be accepted, you need to be based in or have operations in Canada. - We will be accepting applications from entrepreneurs all across Canada and will strive for geographic and gender diversity. - You can be at any stage (ideation to growth) and in any vertical/industry .. ..     The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce is taking proactive steps to promote reconciliation and respect for Indigenous rights within the corporate sector. In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, the Chamber urges its members to embrace the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a guiding framework. This entails a commitment to meaningful consultation, fostering respectful relationships, and obtaining the free, prior, and informed consent of Indigenous peoples before embarking on economic projects. Moreover, the Chamber advocates for equitable access to employment, training, and educational opportunities for Indigenous communities, ensuring they reap sustainable benefits from economic development initiatives.

     

    Recognizing the importance of education, the Chamber encourages businesses to provide comprehensive training for management and staff on the history of Indigenous peoples, including the legacy of residential schools, Indigenous rights, and Aboriginal-Crown relations. Emphasizing intercultural competency, conflict resolution, and anti-racism, these efforts aim to foster a more inclusive and harmonious corporate environment rooted in mutual understanding and respect.
