Webinar - Taking care of your mental health so you can take care of business
Presented by: Heather Libbey, CCC, Founder of Dooryard Strategic Heather Libbey is a business executive with over 20 years experience building brands, creating award-winning business cultures and developing top talent. She is also a Counselling Therapist – she’s got both business and feelings covered. While Vice-President at Opportunities New Brunswick, Heather Libbey saw first-hand the passion and commitment of business owners – a population particularly devastated by the Covid-19 and associated lockdown. With mental illness expected to be the “next wave” (if not already here) of the pandemic, Heather will be leading a discussion on how business owners can take care of their mental health so they can take still care of business. Whether you’re in the eye of the storm or just feeling a few drops, everyone can benefit from better understanding and knowledge of mental health issues and coping strategies.

Business Truth & Reconciliation
The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce takes proactive steps to promote reconciliation and respect for Indigenous rights within the corporate sector. In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, the Chamber urges its members to embrace the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a guiding framework.
Recognizing the importance of education, the Chamber encourages businesses to provide comprehensive training for management and staff on the history of Indigenous peoples, including the legacy of residential schools, Indigenous rights, and Aboriginal-Crown relations. Emphasizing intercultural competency, conflict resolution, and anti-racism, these efforts aim to foster a more inclusive and harmonious corporate environment rooted in mutual understanding and respect.
