    Provincial Government Announces Dates for Well-Being Week 2025 and Opens Grant Applications

    As part of its ongoing commitment to support the well-being of people in Newfoundland and Labrador, the Provincial Government will hold its third annual Well-Being Week from September 21 to 28.

    The Provincial Government continues to strengthen its support for the well-being of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians through new investments and by enhancing existing programs. Budget 2025: Smarter. Stronger. Better. builds on these efforts with targeted investments addressing the social determinants of health – such as helping with the cost of living, enhancing the Seniors’ Benefit, expansion of the School Food Program, increasing classroom resources, supporting public safety, building new homes and much more.

    The Provincial Government is inviting community-based organizations to participate in Well-Being Week 2025. Community groups are encouraged to submit an application to host events, offering the opportunity to engage with residents and support collective efforts to enhance well-being in Newfoundland and Labrador.

    In support of participating organizations, grants of up to $1,000 per group are available. To qualify, community-based organization must meet the following criteria:

    • Must be a community-based organization.
    • Event must align with the objectives of Well-Being Week.
    • Event must take place during Well-Being Week.
    • Organization must agree to list the event on the Well-Being Week Events Calendar.
    • Organization must consent to event promotion through Government of Newfoundland and Labrador social media channels.

    The deadline for applications is June 6, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified by June 20, 2025, and must submit final event details by August 20, 2025.

    Applications must be submitted on WellbeingNL.ca.

Emphasizing intercultural competency, conflict resolution, and anti-racism, these efforts aim to foster a more inclusive and harmonious corporate environment rooted in mutual understanding and respect.
