Rhonda, Daniel and Véronique,
Thank you for sharing with me the letter signed by the presidents of Canada’s Chambers of Commerce regarding suggestions for further action to strengthen Canada’s economy.
I am pleased to report that Premiers are working collaboratively to address the issues that the Chambers have raised. We are moving quickly to remove barriers that impede trade and labour mobility within Canada, are advocating for energy and resource corridors to move goods within Canada and to international markets and preparing for a new trade and economic relationship between Canada and the United States. Premiers were focused on addressing these issues when we met in Huntsville, ON last month.
While we are facing uncertain times, New Brunswick will remain committed to building a strong and resilient Canadian economy. We will continue to work with all Canadian jurisdictions to ensure Canada can continue to move forward toward greater prosperity.
With gratitude,
Susan Holt Premier
