AI for Small Business: A Beginner's Guide to Getting Started
Celebrating Small Business Week with Conversations That Matter
Over the past year, through conversations with business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and economic development partners across Nova Scotia, we've heard common themes emerge: succession planning, workforce challenges, opportunities for innovation, and the growing interest in practical AI tools for small business.
In recognition of Small Business Week (Oct 19 – 25), Dalhousie University is offering a series of free workshops designed to address these topics and support the long-term success of rural businesses and communities.
New to AI? Discover simple tools to save time, create content, improve service, and grow your business. No experience needed! Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer just for large corporations. Small businesses can use AI to save time, improve customer service, create marketing content, streamline operations, and make better decisions. Designed specifically for beginners, this interactive one-hour workshop will provide a practical, jargon-free introduction to AI and how it can support small business success. Participants will learn what AI is, explore everyday business applications, see live examples of popular AI tools, and leave with simple ideas they can start using immediately.
