    Natural Resources Canada’s ISO 50001 financial assistance program

    The deadline for applying to Natural Resources Canada’s ISO 50001 financial assistance program is October 7, 2020. To receive an application form, email us.

    The program offers eligible applicants funding to help implement ISO 50001 energy management system projects:

    • up to 60% of eligible costs directed toward for-profit organizations
    • up to 75% for not-for-profit organizations
    • a maximum of $40,000 per facility.
    There are two types of eligible recipients:
    1. Direct recipients: Commercial and institutional buildings owners and operators, including Indigenous organizations, that want to implement ISO 50001 in their buildings.
    2. Initial recipients: Municipal/provincial/territorial governments and agencies, utilities, industry associations and registered non-profit organizations that implement programs that redistribute the funds to direct/ultimate recipients to undertake eligible project activities.
    Eligible project expenditures include salaries and benefits, professional, scientific and technical fees specific to the energy management system, fees for data collection, benchmarking and analysis services, metering equipment, as well as other expenditures directly related to the project.

    La date limite pour soumettre une demande au programme d’aide financière de Ressources naturelles Canada pour la norme ISO 50001 est le 7 octobre 2020. Pour recevoir un formulaire de candidature, faites‑nous parvenir un courriel.
    Le programme offre aux candidats admissibles une aide financière pour la mise en œuvre de projets de systèmes de gestion de l’énergie conformes à la norme ISO 50001 :
    • jusqu’à 60 % des coûts admissibles pour les organismes à but lucratif,
    • jusqu’à 75 % des coûts admissibles pour les organismes à but non lucratif,
    • dans une limite de 40 000 $ par installation.
    Les bénéficiaires admissibles sont classés dans deux catégories :
    1. Bénéficiaires directs : Les propriétaires et gestionnaires de bâtiments commerciaux et institutionnels, notamment les organismes autochtones, qui souhaitent mettre en œuvre la norme ISO 50001 pour leurs bâtiments.
    2. Bénéficiaires initiaux : Les gouvernements et organismes municipaux, provinciaux et territoriaux, les entreprises de services publics, les associations industrielles et les organismes sans but lucratif enregistrés qui mettent en œuvre les programmes de redistribution des fonds aux bénéficiaires directs ou finaux pour leur permettre de procéder aux activités correspondant aux projets admissibles.
    Les dépenses admissibles du projet comprennent les salaires et les avantages sociaux, les frais de services professionnels, scientifiques et techniques en lien avec le système de gestion de l’énergie, les frais de service de collecte des données et d’analyse, notamment d’analyse comparative, ceux liés au matériel de mesure, ainsi que les autres dépenses liées au projet.
