For the last several months, it seemed any hope for a regular tourism season in Nova Scotia was all but dead, and tourism businesses would have to rely on money spent by locals instead. But on Thursday, Premier McNeil offered a surprising ray of hope when he announced intentions to open provincial borders to Canadian travelers as early as mid-July. He hopes an Atlantic bubble will be created before then.

The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is calling for a clear plan as to how and when P.E.I.’s borders will reopen during the province’s recovery from COVID-19.
In a media statement, chamber interim CEO Gerard Adams said businesses need a basic timeline to help them plan for reopening.
