    About the Atlantic Chamber of Commerce

    The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce Inc. (ACC) is the largest accredited business organization of influence in Atlantic Canada, representing more than 16,000 businesses and their 300,000 employees in the four Atlantic Provinces through its network of 94 Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade, and 30 corporate partners throughout the region.

    For more than 125 years, ACC has served as the voice of Atlantic Canadian business, and actively partners with its members and other organizations to help create a strong, vibrant, and growing Atlantic Canada.

    ACC does this through:
    1. strategic advocacy that shapes policy issues that impact business;
    2. the delivery of high-value programs and services to support business;
    3. the facilitation and promotion of initiatives for business that contribute to sustainable economic growth in the region.

    Background

    To ensure the continued excellence of service that ACC provides to its members, stakeholders and the Atlantic business community at large, ACC is putting together two standing lists of service providers that it can rely upon to support their team in the areas of:
    1. Advertising
    2. Marketing
    3. Creative design
    4. Copywriting
    5. Translation
    6. Public relations
    7. Government relations
    8. Public affairs
    9. Project and campaign management
    10. Data analysis

    One of the lists will include agencies, and another one will include independent individual consultants.

    The companies and individuals included in those lists may be asked to provide their services to ACC as and when such a need arises.

    The agencies will most likely be asked for services related to larger scale campaigns, while independent consultants will most likely be asked for more specialised services, staff and/or one-off support assignments.

    The details of each service request, as well as the terms and conditions of service delivery, will be agreed upon individually in each case prior to work/project commencement.

    Having a pre-selected list of candidate companies and individuals will speed up the process of identifying the best potential service provider for each request, and thus increase the efficiency of ACC’s work.

    The Atlantic Chamber of Commerce is taking proactive steps to promote reconciliation and respect for Indigenous rights within the corporate sector. In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Call to Action 92, the Chamber urges its members to embrace the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a guiding framework. This entails a commitment to meaningful consultation, fostering respectful relationships, and obtaining the free, prior, and informed consent of Indigenous peoples before embarking on economic projects. Moreover, the Chamber advocates for equitable access to employment, training, and educational opportunities for Indigenous communities, ensuring they reap sustainable benefits from economic development initiatives.
